Marian
McEvoy is a legendary American fashion and design editor who has
transitioned into a celebrated career as a decorative artisan and
textile designer
Los Angeles born Marian McEvoy began her illustrious career in publishing at the The Los Angeles Herald Examiner. In 1975, McEvoy was hired by John Fairchild as a correspondent for Women’s Wear Daily. She spent nearly two decades in Paris reporting on European fashion for WWD and W Magazine. Upon returning to the U.S., she served as the founding Editor-in-Chief of Elle Decor and later as the Editor-in-Chief of House Beautiful.
She is a member of Vanity Fair's International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame.

self-proclaimed “crafter”, McEvoy has carved a niche for herself with
her whimsical collages made of dried flowers & leaves, and fanciful
illustrations, many of which have found their way into the homes of
design aficionados and collectors around the world. Marian currently
resides north of Manhattan, in a fantastical garden cottage with a lovely view of the Hudson River. It is worth a visit to her Instagram page to see the prolific art they she creates daily.
Although they had met before Joyce had no idea that incredible flower collages he had seen on Instagram were created by Marian. When he found out he approached her to suggest collaborating on her first textile collection. Her first collection was a resounding success which led to her second collection as well as wallpaper.

"A lot of companies use interior designers to create collections, and
there's nothing wrong with that," Joyce explains of his choice. "But I
thought the idea to work with artists who are gifted and give them the
opportunity to create something new—and my company gets to be the lucky
